Can you take the measurements for my driveway?
No, Online Security Gates do not offer a measuring service. Please contact us if you need advice on what measurements to take to ensure you order the correct size.
Can I fit my own lock to the pedestrian gate?
Our gates come pre-cut to accept the locks and handle we supply. The barrel is a standard Euro type which can be changed very easily. Different types of locks could be fitted but you may have to make some adjustments to do so.
Posts
What are Posts?
Used to fill a gap or to create a stand-alone opening. Can be bolted down or concreted in. When fitting gates to the post a floor mounted hinge is recommended for the bottom and a wall mounted hinge for the top.
Door stop
What is Door Stop?
Centre stop to prevent the gates swinging in one direction, also used to hold the gates in place when closed.
Hinge
Wall mounted hinge
Can be used as either a top or bottom hinge, fits to a vertical surface parallel to the gate.
Floor mounted hinge
Bottom hinge only, fixes to horizontal solid surface underneath the gate. To be used as a bottom hinge when using posts.
